Job Title: Locksmith Facilities Services & Planning (FS&P) for EMCOR at Stanford Health Care (SHC)

Job Summary: EMCOR has a need for a Locksmith on the Stanford Health Care account in Palo Alto, CA. This position covers SHC sites around the entire Bay Area.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Repairing key locksets

• Fabricating and replicating keys

• Opening key locksets; Installing, performing maintenance, repairing, replacing, removing, opening, and resetting of mechanical, electronic combination cipher locks, electronic card locks, and electronic security systems to include replacing lockset batteries when necessary

• Prepare reports and documents required by the client to maintain key tracking system

• Unlocking buildings, safes, vaults, file cabinets, desks, lockers (with or without combination or key), etc., to gain access when authorized; and performing improvement, alteration, and adaptation of locking devices and systems.

• Utilize a tablet to complete work orders

Qualifications:

• Successfully completed a locksmith training course or apprenticeship program

• 5 years of experience with facilities maintenance

• Must fluently speak, read, and write the English language.

• Ability to work independently, establish priorities, and make sound decisions while meeting time sensitive deadlines

• Ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form

• Ability to identify issues, risks, and escalations, assemble data, validate conclusions, and incorporate resolutions

• Ability to gain consensus among disparate groups

• Ability to exercise judgment and demonstrate effectiveness in decision making occasions

• Ability to manage a significant workload, prioritize projects appropriately and work independently

• Advanced ability to identify, develop and quantify any required corrective action plans

• Demonstrated highly motivated self-starter

• Experience with Maximo software a plus.

Compensation Range: $52.00 / hr. - $57.00 / hr.
